Something amazing is starting

We want you to connect to Virgin Media WiFi in as many areas of the UK as possible, so we're expanding our service by adding Virgin Media Hubs to the network.

We’re adding hundreds of thousands of Hub 3.0s to our growing network, helping you connect to WiFi in even more places. There are more Hub 3.0s to come, and we’re continuing with a pilot of the Super Hub 2ac. We’re planning to complete the rollout of our service later this year.

Find out more, including which areas are covered and how to opt out.

We’re going underground…

Thanks to Virgin Media WiFi you can now get online with ease in more than 250 London Underground stations, Victoria Coach station, and Glasgow Subway stations.

Your device will pick up our WiFi signal when you're in a Virgin Media WiFi-enabled Tube station. There's no signal in tunnels, but you'll connect to the signal at the next WiFi-enabled platform so you can pick up where you left off.

Your Virgin Media WiFi questions answered

Here’s some more information on our new Virgin Media WiFi service

Will my broadband connection be affected if my Hub is added to the Virgin Media WiFi network?

No. Virgin Media WiFi uses a separate connection on your Hub to access the internet than the one used by your home broadband network. The data from your home network is completely separate from Virgin Media WiFi traffic, meaning the broadband connection you pay for is exclusively yours, and just as secure.

Will my privacy be affected if my Hub is added to the Virgin Media WiFi network?

No. A Virgin Media WiFi user can't see anything on the home broadband network they’re connected to. Likewise, someone using the home broadband network will not be able to see if anyone is connected to the separate connection in their Hub, or what they’re doing.

Can I opt out?

You can opt out of your Hub being added to the Virgin Media WiFi network by registering or signing in to My Virgin Media and going to My Profile. It can take up to four days for the opt out to come into effect.

Where have Hubs been added to the Virgin Media network so far?

So far we've added Hub 3.0s to the network in Basildon, Southend, Gillingham, Cambridge, the Cotswolds, Epping, Loughton, Glenrothes, South Herts and Watford, and West Sussex. Areas where Hubs are part of the network are indicated by pink circles on the map in the Virgin Media WiFi app.

How will I know if I'm near a Virgin Media WiFi hotspot?

Your device will connect automatically when you're near to a hotspot. But there’s also a handy map in the app so you can discover hotspots on the high street.

How can I get more help with connecting to Virgin Media WiFi?

Once you’ve set up the app once on your phone or device you are good to go. You can find more help with getting your device set up in our Help and Support pages.

Is Virgin Media WiFi service secure?

It certainly is. When you’re messaging or sharing on the move, you’ll be enjoying a secure connection, so you can rest assured that your private details will be kept safe and sound.
