The legal stuff

Best speed promise: We’ll make sure that you receive the highest broadband speed we can give you. We'll always give you a speed estimate before you buy. The actual speed you receive can be affected by factors such as phone line quality and distance from your local exchange. Acceptable Use and Traffic Management policies apply to ensure a consistent customer experience.
General: 
Prices advertised are effective 1st February 2013 (and will be reflected in your January 2013 bill where charges are billed in advance). Charges for services provided prior to 1st February 2013 may be lower.
Service availability: SERVICES AVAILABLE IN VIRGIN MEDIA CABLED STREETS ONLY. Subject to survey and network capacity, minimum term contract applies, check basket for details. If you cancel during the minimum contract period you will incur an early disconnection fee. 
Installation: Installation charges apply (starting from £49.95 for standard install).
Payment: Offers require you to pay by Direct Debit and use eBilling. If you prefer not to pay by Direct Debit, you will incur a monthly £5 payment handling fee payable to Virgin Media Payments Ltd. If you would like paper bills, the fee is £1.75 a month. Payment may be required in advance. All prices include VAT. Information correct at 01/04/2012. Calls may be monitored. Further legal stuff applies. 
Money back guarantee: Available to new customers and existing customers taking a new service. Call us within 28 days of activation for a refund of your first month’s rental charges and any installation charge. You will only be charged for transactions (calls, purchases, service upgrades) occurring after activation. Statutory rights are not affected.
Free servicing and repairs: Excludes misuse/mistreatment.
Phone line rental: Line rental is currently £14.99 a month.
Line Rental Saver: £120 for 12 months' Line Rental must be paid in advance by debit/credit card. Available to new and existing customers with a Virgin Media cable phone line. Call charges apply in accordance with your tariff. Not available with other line rental offers, The Biz, The Biz Plus or Home Phone talk plan offers. If you cancel Line Rental Saver within seven working days of your order you will get a full refund of your advance payment to the debit or credit card you paid with. Otherwise the advance payment is non-refundable. After 12 months, you will automatically move to standard line rental charges (currently £14.99 a month).
£20 credit on Broadband only offer: 12-month minimum term contract applies. Cable areas only. Offer ends 28 April 2013. National broadband
Speed:
Speeds referred to are download speeds. Minimum computer requirements apply. Speed of internet connection assumes components working at optimum speed and capacity. Speeds are affected by all the usual things outside our control and how far you live from the telephone exchange.
Wireless kit: The wireless kit is provided at no additional charge, subject to availability, and is only available to new broadband customers. Only one wireless kit is available per customer. £6.99 wireless router delivery fee applies to all new subscriptions. Other charges may apply.
Connection and setup: A one-off £36 charge applies to all customers taking National Broadband.
Minimum term: All new connections are subject to a 12 month minimum term when you buy online. If you cancel during the minimum contract period, you will incur an early termination charge, and if you transfer to another provider without using a MAC you may also have to pay a disconnection fee.
Virgin Media Security: Security features not available to Mac users.
Downloading: Copyright owner's permission may be required for the downloading of music.
Unlimited downloads: Our Unlimited package gives you genuinely unlimited downloads. We promise not to restrict the amount you can download in any month, there is no secret number. With all our packages we do apply our traffic management policy - this prioritises certain traffic over others according to the time of the day and ensures our service is fair for everybody.
